Activities

Chamonix offers diverse activities, all year round, some of which vary depending on the season. In summer people from around the globe come to Chamonix to enjoy the beauty and tranquillity of the region…so why not you??

For those who have a passion for the mountains, you will be in paradise! Whatever your level, you will always be able to find a mountain walk to suit you. A number of places may also be reached in summer using the summer cable car network operated by la Compagnie de Mont-Blanc. For the more sporty, you can try your hand at mountain-biking or even mountaineering.

For those in search of an adrenalin rush, Chamonix offers some incredible parascending during the summer season. For example, you can take off from the Aiguille du Midi and land down in the town.

If in need of relaxation, in the resort you will find hammam, sauna, Jacuzzi, massage, and of course, the most naturally relaxing experience Chamonix has to offer: the fresh mountain air!

	Hiking and Lifts
The valley offers 350 km of superbly maintained hiking trails, with walks adapted to all levels of fitness and ability. The lifts and cog railways provide access to outstanding panoramas, bird's eye glacier views, Alpine terraces and superb contour walks for those who enjoy hiking with moderation!

The summer season is the perfect time to sample the multitude of outdoor sports activities that Chamonix has to offer: Rock climbing, paragliding, canyoning, rafting, mountain biking, mountaineering and an exceptional golf course. The sports complex includes an ice-rink, indoor and outdoor tennis courts and an aquatic centre to delight all ages!
