"As someone who is passionate about art, I set myself a challenge…..to open an exceptional contemporary art space in Argentière, in the Chamonix-Mont-Blanc valley." Matthew Leguen de Lacroix is the man behind the Galerie du Globe in Argentière. The gallery will be a place for art lovers, collectors or even just the curious! Paintings, sculptures, photography, video art, film and design around a central theme - the environment in all its shapes and forms: the earth, water, rock, forests, landscapes… The gallery will be a place to admire art and enjoy a coffee with friends, a place where professional artists and amateur enthusiasts can come together and feel welcome. All profit from the gallery will go to humanitarian and environmental causes.

Gallery Midnight

is the modern art gallery for Chamonix and the Alps. It is the show case for artists exploring the mountains. You can always catch up with the resident artists Johny Midnight and Andy Parkin on a Wednesday night when the gallery is open for aperitifs, then again Johny opens a botle of wine most evenings after a hard days painting! Open 7 days a week from 10am - 1pm then 2pm -7.30pm at 81, rue Whymper. If it’s a powder day you might want to ring first!
